This is a wonderful local event and one of the choirs is helping to raise money for our music therapy fund.

The Music Therapy Fund
The fund began with a very generous bequest and has been supporting local children for a few years now. It supports children to experience music therapy who would not otherwise be able to fund it themselves. Dorset Children's Foundation very kindly take care of things financially and we take care of the therapy and bookings. The fund is overseen by a lovely local GP, Patsy, Rachel and me. You can find more details about The Music Therapy Fund here.
Referrals are made to the panel of four who then make a decision about whether the referral is appropriate. If appropriate the children are then offered one of our ‘packages of music therapy’.
You Can Help Change A Child's Future
Any money fund raised for the MTF, goes directly to sessions for children.
It is lovely to see the magic that music and its effects can have. We are lucky to have the most wonderful experienced and fun music therapist who offers our service
Rachel Crennell BSc Music/DIP MT.

Over the past 25 years, working as a registered music therapist, Rachel has used music in a wide variety of health, education and community settings – working with children and adults of all ages.
After working at the Royal Hospital for Neuro Disability in London, Rachel moved to Dorset in 2001.
In addition to the work she does with Total Children’s Therapy, Rachel works with adults with acquired brain injury. Rachel is a member of the British Association for Music Therapy and is state registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. She plays the flute and piano to a high standard and is the owner and ‘player’ of many other instruments - some traditional and some not so traditional!
